The PME-ULO Instructor shall provide instructional support for the U.S. Army Cyber School Operations training and shall provide Unified Land Operations (ULO) Training Instructors (Instructor/Writers) for courses associated with the U.S. Army Cyber School.  The instructor shall instruct and assist in developing Government-owned Cyberspace Operations and ULO training and train its projected student load and develop curriculum to integrate and instruct Army-wide PME courses and lessons.  The instructor shall participate in classroom instruction, training development research, classroom/lab support, operational tests, training material validation, instructor certification and shall provide effective training IAW established Programs of Instruction (POI), Cyber School training guidance, USCYBERCOM J7, Army University curriculum standards, and the Army Learning Model (ALM).    


Required Education and Experience:

  • Must have experience within the United States Army Maneuver, Fire and Effects field (11, 12, 13, 18, 19 MOS) serving in leadership positions as an Officer, Non-Commissioned Officer (NSO) or Warrant Officer (WO), and will have achieved the grade of E8 for NCOs, WO3 for Warrant Officers and O3 for Commissioned Officers.
  • Graduate of Senior Leader Course, Captain’s Career Course, or Command and General Staff College (or equivalent at the time).
  • Must have served in a tactical unit as a company commander, staff planner, or in a similar leadership role of a battalion or higher element.
  • Have two (2) years of experience, within the last five (5) years, instructing full-length instructional and training material or courses related to Unified Land Operations.
  • Must have Bachelor Degree.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor Degree, a minimum of three (3) additional years’ experience in the above areas.
  • Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work that includes word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications; typing a variety of materials from rough draft into final form including narrative and tabular material, e.g., correspondence, reports, and forms; maintaining records, historical records, survey result, reference library of training catalogs, regulations, and other miscellaneous publications; establishing and maintaining office functional files and reference files; knowledge management applications, e.g., SharePoint, Army training requirements and resources system (ATRRS), and Blackboard.
  • Graduate of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or Foundation Instructor Facilitator’s Course (FIFC), or Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC) and Faculty Development Program-1 (FDP-1), and Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC).


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of the Army’s Functional Area 29 Officer Course, 290A Warrant Officer Advanced Course, the Army Cyberspace Operations Planners Course (ACOPC) or alternate/equivalent qualification training for USCYBERCOM Cyber Mission Forces (CMF) teams.

  • Capability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Possess a final Top Security Clearance and Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with SCI eligibility at work performance start date and shall maintain the required security clearance throughout the life of the contract.

Work Environment:

Normal hours for conducting business between the hours of 0800 to 1700 Monday thru Friday except Federal Holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Personnel work schedules may be “flexed” to meet the training needs of the Cyber School for weekend and extended duty periods during regular training and exercises, while still adhering to the standard five-day work week. Overtime will not be authorized.

  • Position generally requires light work with occasional lifting of up to (30) pounds or more, carrying supplies, equipment.

  • The ability to communicate clearly with an excellent comprehension of the English language is essential.
  • Work is generally performed in an indoor setting.
